Welding calculator questions

Which welding calculator should I use first?
Start with the physical scope. Use the rod and wire calculator for filler quantity, heat input for energy per weld length, shielding-gas duration for cylinder inventory, and time and cost for labor planning. A complete estimate may use all four.
Do these calculators replace a welding procedure specification?
No. They are planning and cross-checking tools. A qualified WPS, applicable code, engineer, inspector, equipment manual, and manufacturer instructions control safety, procedure variables, and acceptance.
Are my shop measurements uploaded?
The calculation runs in your browser and no account is required. Saved inputs use local browser storage. If you choose Copy link, every current non-empty calculator field is placed in the URL, which the recipient and ordinary network or hosting services may be able to read.
Can I use these results as a customer quote?
Use them as transparent estimating inputs, not a final bid. Direct job cost can still exclude base metal, equipment, power, overhead, tax, inspection, rework risk, travel, contingency, and profit.
